Hi! My name is Logan and I am the Lead Honors Ambassador for the 2025-2026 academic year. I'm a senior health sciences major on a pre-physical therapy track with a minor in health humanities. On campus I'm employed as an orientation leader coordinator, a university host, and a tutor in the university writing center so there's a chance you might have met me already! My campus involvement includes writing for the honors college magazine The Saunterer, being a fellowship ambassador, and a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the leadership honor society. All great ways to get involved and show my love of ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ. With multiple alumni in my family, that gull pride runs deep!! I grew up just south of ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ and have been around campus my whole life if you need recommendations of cool spots around the shore. Hello everyone, my name is Catie Egan and I am the Lead Ambassador of the Henson program for the CHC! I'm majoring in Psychology with a minor in Computer Science and am also the secretary for Food for the Flock!

For the past couple semesters, I've been working in Dr. Corfield's and Dr. Franchi's research lab to develop a RFID-based scanning system to track house wren activity inside bird boxes. This research will lead to insight about what characteristics of bird boxes house wrens tend to avoid and would allow us to implement house-wren-deterrent bird boxes on campus since house wrens are destructive to other species.

Outside of academics, I love traveling, hanging out with my friends, and going to the Cat Cafe!

Hello! My name is Alwick Blouch, and I am a senior in the Clarke Honors College. I am a Theater Production major and a Creative Writing minor. After graduating, I plan on getting a masters in Library Sciences and become a librarian at a college/university. I am from the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Clarke Honors College has given me so many opportunities and helped me create a tight knit community of friends. I have been a writer and editor for the Saunterer, the honors newsletter.

Outside of being an honors student, I can most often be found in the Academic Commons where I work at the library circulation desk as a student circulation desk assistant and as a student leader. At times when I am not at the desk, you might also find reshelving books in the stacks. On campus, I am a part of the Scarab’s editors team, ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ’s student run creative writing journal.

Clarke Honors College is more than just classes or credits. It has become my community on campus. There is always a student or professor there to help you reach for fullest potential and explore every opportunity or interest that comes your way.

Hello, my name is Claire Morin. This year will be my senior year at ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ. I am an elementary education major with a minor in Deaf studies. I grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland.

I will be returning as an honors student ambassador for my third year. I am excited to meet our new Clarke Honors College students this year and welcome them into our community. The honors college has given me many opportunities and many friends. I started my honors college journey attending the honors Living Learning Community, which introduced me to many of my close friends. Over the years, I have been a part of the Honors Student Association as freshman representative, social media coordinator, and student president. They also influenced me to expand my horizons and study abroad with other honors students in Rome, Italy during the winter break. Hi everyone! My name is Campbell and I'm thrilled to return as an Honors College Student Ambassador for the 2025–26 school year! I'm currently majoring in Exercise Science on the Henson track, minoring in psychology. Hi everyone!! I’m Wennia Ferreira Reis. I’m a junior Medical Laboratory Science major. Currently, I’m in Dr. Clark’s research lab and I’m studying axon degeneration in hyperglycemic zebrafish. Hi! My name is Albi, and I am a junior Mathematics major with minors in Computer Science and History. I grew up in ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ and come from a family of SU graduates, so it was only natural that I’d come to SU and continue the tradition. Nevertheless, I’ve been working towards making my own mark on SU. Outside of being an Honors Ambassador, I also work on campus as a consultant in the Writing Center, a peer mentor in the Sea Gull Circle Mentorship Program, and a managing editor for SU’s undergraduate research journal Laridae.

Being in the Clarke Honors College has afforded me ample opportunities to become involved on campus, conduct research, meet some of the most amazing professors and people, and expand my knowledge of the world around me. Hi I'm Allie! I am a junior nursing major with minors in Spanish and psychology. I am from Montgomery County Maryland and chose to come to ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ for a few different reasons, including the amazing nursing program, being so close to the beach, and the fact that my mom came to SU for her undergrad!

Aside from being an Honors Ambassador, I am very involved on campus! I am an Orientation Leader, so some of you may have already met me at orientation! I am also on the Director of Health and Wellness for SOAP (Student Organization for Activity Planning) where I help plan fun events that are open for everyone at SU! I am also on the exec board for the Women's Club Volleyball team as well as a member of the Student Nurse's Association.

I can confidently say that deciding to come to ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ, especially as a member of the Clarke Honors College, is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The honors college has pushed me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to do things I could never have imagined doing in high school. Hi everyone! My name is Faith Smeltzer and I am a junior nursing major with minors in Deaf Studies, Disabilities Studies and Psychology. I grew up in Bel Air MD but I live in Ocean City MD during the summer. After graduating from ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ, I hope to begin working as a pediatric nurse while also earning my masters degree in the science of nursing.

Aside from being a member of the honors college and an honors ambassador I am also a Resident Assistant on campus living in St. Martins. I am also an active member of several clubs including cru, younglife, ASL club, best buddies, and the club cross country and track team. Additionally, I am currently the vice president of the Student Nurses Association and the Executive Director of Event Development for Relay for Life.

Hello, and Welcome to the Clarke Honors College!

My name is Leah Wynn (she/her), and I am a Junior majoring in Public Health here at ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ. I am passionate about health advocacy, student leadership, and mentorship, as I am actively involved in many areas of campus and community life.

I am a proud member of Eta Sigma Gamma, the Health Education Honor Society, and I serve as a Peer Health Educator/Vice President for Project K.I.S.S (Keep It Sexually Safe), a program conducted on ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ‘s campus, which is funded by the Maryland Department of Health. In this role, I am trained in Narcan administration, reproductive health education, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive sex education. Through this work, I’ve had the privilege of organizing numerous health and drug awareness programs, working with college students and the surrounding community. This year, I was also honored to serve as a guest panelist at the Maryland Adolescent Health Conference sponsored by the Healthy Teen Network in Owings Mills.

Beyond my public health work, I am entering my second year as an Ambassador for the Clarke Honors College, where I enjoy mentoring new scholars and supporting the program’s initiatives. I also work as an Office and Teaching Assistant in the School of Arts for Interdisciplinary Studies. In that role, I contribute to the improvement and marketing of the IDIS Program. As well as assistant teaching in courses related to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, where we connect global issues with local solutions here in ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ.

The Clarke Honors College has greatly shaped my academic journey, from being published in The Saunterer — the Honors College Magazine (Spring 2025). With an article entitled "The Future of Public Health: Leah Wynn" to providing invaluable research and mentorship opportunities. As well as opening my eyes to study abroad, which I did last winter in Scotland and Italy. After graduation, I plan to pursue a graduate degree in Public Health—potentially a dual degree in MPH/JD or MPH/Public Policy—and ultimately focus my career on advancing policy and equity initiatives in women’s and children’s health at a global level.

I am thrilled to welcome new honors students into this community, and I look forward to meeting each of you as we continue to learn, grow, and create a greater impact together.

Hi! My name is Allison Yeager, and this will be my second year as an honors ambassador. I am a psychology major with a minor in cognitive science, and I plan on pursuing a career in cognitive performance. Other than being an honors ambassador, two main roles on campus that I have are the Arts and Entertainment Executive Director for SOAP, and I am an Undergraduate Research Fellow for OURCA. I am also an author and editor in our schools research journal, Laridae. I wanted to become an honors ambassador because when I was a freshman, my mentor helped me greatly with starting my freshman year in the CHC, and I want to be able to give that back to other students who may be struggling!

Hi! My name is Julia, and I’m a double major in Data Science and Mathematics with minors in Computer Science and Statistics. I’m a member of the Clarke Honors College and spent two years on the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Cheerleading Team before retiring my cheer career. I love adventure, and one of my favorite experiences was traveling to Sicily, Italy with the Clarke Honors College over the summer.

On campus, I serve as a Henson Student Leadership Advisory Council representative for the 2025–2026 academic year, and I’m a Science Section Editor for Laridae’s 7th edition. I also tutor at the Math Emporium and am involved in several student organizations.

Hi!! My name is Bethany and I am a sophomore here at SU! This is my first year as an honors ambassador and I am a Nursing Major with a Psychology minor. In addition to this role, I also work as an Orientation Leader and as a University Host! I am a part of the board of the Student Nursing Association as sophomore representative and am also a member of Best Buddies! I am native to the Eastern Shore, originally from Queen Anne's County, Maryland so feel free to reach out about fun activities in the area!! Hello! My name is Abbie Young, and I am a sophomore majoring in accounting with a minor in Law. I am from Carroll County, Maryland and in my free time I love listening to country music and playing sports. This will be my first year as an Honors Student Ambassador and I am so excited for the year ahead of me!
